Directed by Simon West (Con Air, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider), the film explores the extraordinary true events of Operation Fortitude the elaborate Allied deception campaign that misled Nazi intelligence ahead of the D-Day landings.

Bringing the « Ghost Army » to Life

Cinesite’s London team under the supervision of Zave Jackson is delivering a wide range of visual effects to bring this « war of wits » to life. Our work focuses on high-stakes historical world-building, including:

• Large-scale digital environments recreating 1940s London and coastal landscapes.
• Period-accurate military assets.
• The « Ghost Army »: Seamlessly integrating the famous inflatable decoys used to trick the enemy.

A Creative Reunion

The project marks a significant reunion between Cinesite and renowned Production VFX Supervisor Steve Begg. Having previously collaborated on iconic James Bond titles like Skyfall and Spectre, there is a deep creative shorthand between our teams.
