These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Website and the general services made available through it, operated by Cinesite VFX Ltd (“Cinesite”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Website you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you are not authorised to access or use the Website.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we handle your personal data.

  • “you” / “your” means the person accessing or using the Website; “we” / “us” / “our” means Cinesite.

The Website is intended for a general business and professional audience and is not directed at children. If you are under the age of 16, you may only use the Website with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

4. Acceptable Use

  • When using the Website, you agree not to:
    Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;

  • You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists. You must not establish a link to our site in any website that is not owned by you. Our site must not be framed on any other site, nor may you create a link to any part of our site other than the home page. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice.

Unless otherwise stated, all Content on the Website — including Cinesite’s name, logos, showreels, and visual effects and animation work — is owned by or licensed to Cinesite and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print Content for personal, non-commercial reference only. No licence is granted to reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from any Content without our prior written consent.

6. Confidentiality of Client & Production Materials

Cinesite works on unreleased and embargoed film, television, streaming and gaming productions on behalf of its clients. Nothing on the Website constitutes an authorised disclosure of confidential, unreleased or embargoed client material, and any such material that may inadvertently appear must not be copied, shared or redistributed. If you believe confidential or embargoed material has been improperly disclosed via the Website, please contact us immediately using the details below.

7. Script, Portfolio & Unsolicited Material Submissions

We do not accept, read, consider or review any unsolicited Materials — literary, dramatic, musical or artistic works of any kind, including but not limited to ideas, concepts, stories, characters, screenplays, teleplays, synopses, treatments, artwork, drawings, designs, musical compositions, software programs, or video or audio reels. Any unsolicited Materials received by Cinesite are deemed non-confidential, and Cinesite assumes no liability, obligation or responsibility of any nature in respect of them. We ask that you do not send us unsolicited Materials. This is to avoid potential misunderstandings or disputes where Cinesite’s existing or future projects might bear similarities to Materials submitted to us.

8. Careers & Recruitment Submissions

Where you submit a CV, showreel, portfolio or job application through the Website, this is done at your own discretion. Such submissions will be handled in accordance with our recruitment privacy notice; submission of a speculative application does not create any obligation on Cinesite to consider it, respond to it, or retain it beyond what is required for recruitment purposes.

9. Downloads & Media Files

Any downloadable documents, files or media made available on this Website are provided at your own risk. While all reasonable precautions are taken to ensure only genuine downloads are available, you are advised to verify their authenticity using your own anti-virus software or similar applications. We accept no responsibility for third-party downloads or downloads provided by external websites, and advise you to verify their authenticity independently.

10. External Links & Third-Party Content

We only look to include quality, safe and relevant external links, but we cannot guarantee or verify the contents of any externally linked website. You should take caution before clicking shortened or unfamiliar links, and note that you access external links at your own risk. 11. Social Media

We maintain official profiles on certain social media platforms. We will never ask for your password or personal details via social media, and you should verify the authenticity of any profile purporting to represent Cinesite before engaging with it. Where the Website features social media sharing buttons, use of those buttons is at your sole discretion and may result in content being posted to your own social feed; this occurs under the terms of the relevant social media platform, not under these Terms.

15. Suspension & Termination of Access

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Website, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or engaged in conduct that may harm Cinesite, other users, or third parties.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top of this page will be revised when we do. Continued use of the Website after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  • If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
  • These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cinesite regarding use of the Website.
  • Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms; we may do so freely in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
