Inspired by the life of the legendary American singer and dancer Michael Jackson, “Michael” boasts a stellar cast including Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson in his cinematic debut, along with Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, Kat Graham, and Larenz Tate.
From the Jackson 5’s 1981 Triumph Tour to the legendary 1988 “Bad” tour at Wembley Stadium, recreating the scale and energy of Michael Jackson’s most iconic concerts was a massive undertaking.
Led by Senior VFX Supervisor Holger Voss, our team spent two years digitally reconstructing three legendary venues:
– Madison Square Garden
– LA Dodgers Stadium
– The original Wembley Stadium
Cinesite built fully realised, immersive 3D environments and crowds to bring the King of Pop’s historic performances back to life. We hope to share more about our work soon.
