Spider-Noir Earns Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Visual Effects

Cinesite is proud to celebrate Spider-Noir receiving an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Single Episode for “Nightmare on a Gurney.”

The nomination recognizes the exceptional work of the production’s visual effects team, including Cinesite’s own Suzie Askham, VFX Supervisor, alongside Production VFX Supervisor Hnedel Maximore, Production VFX Producer Brooke Noska, and VFX supervisors from the production’s other visual effects partners.

As VFX Supervisor at Cinesite, Suzie Askham led our team’s work on Spider-Noir, overseeing the delivery of a wide range of ambitious visual effects that helped shape the series’ distinctive noir-inspired world.

Working closely with Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios, Marvel Studios, and the wider visual effects team, Cinesite artists contributed complex creature work, digital environments, CG effects, and invisible visual effects across the series, helping bring its bold visual style to the screen.

“It was a privilege to work alongside such an incredibly talented team. This nomination is a testament to everyone’s creativity, dedication, and collaboration.”- Suzie Askham

This Emmy nomination is a wonderful recognition of the talent, creativity, and dedication of everyone who contributed to Spider-Noir. Congratulations to Suzie and the entire Cinesite team whose artistry, technical expertise, and collaboration helped bring the series to life.

The winners of the 77th Emmy Awards will be announced this September.
