Cinesite will take part in the Spark Pop-Up Series at Vancouver Film School, with Alex Parkinson (VFX Supervisor and Associate Director) leading a special conversation on Animal Farm. The event will also include a full screening of the film.

In this session, Alex will explore the creative thinking behind the film, from adapting George Orwell’s classic novel to developing a compelling visual language for a new generation. He will share insights into the artistic and technical challenges of bringing this iconic story to life through animation.

Moderated by Keith Blackmore, the discussion will cover key elements of the filmmaking process, including tone, design, character, and theme, as well as the broader art of reinterpreting familiar stories through animation.

Part of the Spark Pop-Up Series, this one-off event offers an opportunity to connect with creatives and gain insight into the world of digital entertainment across animation, VFX, and storytelling.
