Joining Imaginarium Studios in its infancy, George started out as a Motion Capture Tracker. Learning and quickly working his way up through every creative department, he was promoted to Head of Virtual Production in 2020 and continues to develop his interest and proficiency in real time technologies, including Unreal Engine.
George ensures Imaginarium Studios’ workflows remain robust by overseeing the pipeline and R&D teams. He is responsible for utilising real time technology to get as close to the final animation as possible whilst shooting. George continuously pushes this technology further, creating bespoke in-house tools and developing the R&D team to keep up with these demands.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 became a significant career highlight due to the creative challenges faced. Using custom tracking clusters and mounts, George was able to track cameras and work out varying capture scales per shot for multiple characters, to seamlessly deliver a digital version of the camera edit.
Another noteworthy credit includes She Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022) where George worked with Marvel’s VFX team to capture and visualise She-Hulk, Abomination and The Hulk in real time.
George proactively betters his understanding of technology not only as a career, but also in his spare time. He has created various personal projects across games, AR and VR, all within Unreal Engine. George also creates his own 3D printed robotic projects, including working Ironman helmets and quadruped spider bots.
