Richard Clarke
Head of Visualisation / VFX Supervisor

As Head of Visualisation, Richard Clarke brings his broad experience and creative flair to Cinesite. This includes Richard’s extensive history as VFX, CG and Creature Supervisor across a diverse range of projects such as Damsel, BAFTA-winning Squid Game – The Challenge, Star Wars: Episode II , Man From U.N.C.L.E and several of the Harry Potter films. Looking after Previs, Techvis, Pitchvis and Postvis, Richard is able to offer end-to-end solutions on a variety of film and TV productions.
Richard has worked globally at the world’s most prestigious VFX studios and has developed strong relationships with many leaders in the VFX community. His intellectual curiosity beyond the world of film includes art theory and anatomy, which brings an added level of depth to his approach to image concept and design.
A career highlight for Richard has been his work on Squid Game: The Challenge, a reality TV show combining visualisation and VFX finals. This project was instrumental in forming a blueprint of delivering end-to-end services to clients. Richard also worked closely with director Alex Garland on Annihilation, developing a key sequence from concept and design, through to final output. Richard continued his collaboration with Garland as VFX Supervisor on Devs.
Richard previously brought together his experience in Previs and VFX to form a standalone Postvis Department at NVIZ. Bringing his skills to Cinesite in 2024 he asserts, “What we do is so important to the creative film-making process, enabling filmmakers to quickly build their edits with shots that are considerably closer to the final look that will be delivered by the VFX team many months down the line.”
Recent Postvis credits include the Netflix feature Damsel and Young Woman and the Sea.
