In 2015, to boost promising feature animation talent, Cinesite joined forces with leading online training company iAnimate to offer animation apprenticeships. 

Together we offered apprenticeships allowing for production training at Cinesite in Montreal, whilst completing online courses with i-Animate.

Cinesite Director of Animation Eamonn Butler said, “We are always on the lookout for talent.  We are investing in young artists by providing world-class training coupled with hands-on experience to help them realise their potential.  Cinesite’s partnership with i-Animate has created fantastic opportunities for budding animators to grow!”

The two winning 2015 applicants, Tim Clark and Karine Lafranchise, moved straight into work on the production Charming last Summer.  Co-founder if iAnimate and Cinesite Animation Director for Charming Jason Ryan has been working closely with the two, encouraging their creative development.

Cinesite and i-Animate will announce details of 2016 opportunities later this year.
