Cinesite Montreal provides multiple entry level opportunities , whether you’re still in school, have just graduated or are looking for a career change.

Runner Program

Our Runner Program is aimed at recently graduated people who want to integrate a team gradually. As a runner, you’ll be part of our Operations team, which is in charge of the studio’s day-to-day activities, and you’ll be assigned a mentor to ensure your growth in the vfx or animation department best suited to your abilities and interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the Operations Manager and Receptionist to ensure the smooth running of the studio
  • Providing a first-class hospitality service for our clients
  • Ensuring proper reception and delivery of packages
  • Inventorying material, food and beverages
  • Ensuring kitchen and communal areas are clean, tidy and fully stocked
  • Greeting clients
  • Screening/taking calls and covering for reception when needed
  • Office administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Someone who can work unsupervised with a positive outlook
  • Confident communicator with clear and friendly telephone manner
  • An enthusiastic, quick thinker who is able to use their initiative
  • Someone who is happy to work hard, juggle multiple tasks and get things done quickly and efficiently
  • Some knowledge of visual effects, animation or related creative industries
  • Flexibility: Able to work shifts and availability for weekend work as required

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • The ability to lift 25-pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet and load them onto carts
  • The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, food and beverage inventory etc. as well as fulfill staff and client requests.

LEAP (Learning Experience Accelerator Program)

Based out of the Montreal studio and designed to give candidates a guided entry into a Junior Artist position within the studio’s Animation division, LEAP will provide candidates the opportunity to obtain a 6-month paid full-time contract which will be kicked off with a 12-week hands-on, practical training and onboarding program led by our world-class Lighting and Compositing team.

During the training period, new talent will develop their knowledge of key tools, software, techniques, and learn the studio’s pipeline while working on animation projects. Through this exclusive program, Cinesite aims to broaden its talent pool by attracting diverse candidates and offering structured support. In this way, the studio will improve its ability to provide exciting career opportunities and groom talent internally.

Program Eligibility Criteria 

  • A strong 3D Lighting & Compositing reel that showcases your talent and passion for animation
  • Must possess a valid working status in Canada (Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or open work permit)
  • Must be based out of or be willing to relocate to Montreal
  • Available for full-time work (40hrs/week) as of July 3, 2023
  • Applications are open until June 9, 2023

Internship Program

Looking to get your first experience as an artist?  Cinesite Montreal is excited to offer an internship program at our Studio. This will be an enriching learning experience that will give you a head start in the VFX / Animation industry!

The Program

Offered in the summer for 8 weeks and paid.

Open to students in their final year of studies, recent graduates and self-taught artists.

What you’ll gain

  • Be trained from experienced mentors and get the chance to take part of an artistic and professional team
  • Learn new softwares and tools and explore the pipeline
  • Be immersed in the “behind the scenes” of a production
    Get some Material to build your portfolio
  • Develop your own personal project
