IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organisation specific.

The IWD theme for 2024  is #InspireInclusion. When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment.

It’s with this theme in mind that Cinesite’s Chief HR Officer’s spoke to Broadcast Now about why Menopause needs consideration in the workplace &  CG Supervsior Gee Tatchell is joining an impressive IWD speaker lineup series supported by the organisers of World VFX Day & upliftHER.

Menopause in the workplace

#InspireInclusion as its focal point for this years IWD so it seems like an appropriate opportunity to discuss menopause in the workplace and why Cinesite has implemented a menopause policy. Did you know menopausal women are the fastest growing demographic in the workforce, with 8 out of 10 menopausal women in work. As Sashka explains to Broadcast Now “This is not just an issue for those affected by menopause – everyone should be aware of the impacts of menopause, whether directly or indirectly.”

World VFX Day special talk series for International Women’s Day 2024 in partnership with upliftHER

Cinesite’s CG Supervisor Gee Tatchell joins the line-up for this special talk series for IWD. Gee will be one of the speakers on the LGBTQ+ and the Industry session. In addtion to this topic find out how to break into the industry and how some of the best names in the business got to where they are today.
