Benoit Blouin is a distinguished leader in the animation industry and the CEO of L’Atelier Animation, a premier Montreal-based CG studio renowned for high-quality feature films and episodic content. With a career defined by operational excellence and strategic growth, Benoit has been a driving force in establishing L’Atelier as a major player in the global animation landscape.
Since joining the studio, Benoit has served in pivotal leadership roles, including General Manager and Head of CG. His deep technical understanding of the animation pipeline, combined with a sharp business acumen, allowed him to scale the studio’s production capacity while maintaining a focus on artistic innovation. He was instrumental in the successful delivery of high-profile projects such as the hit feature Ballerina (Leap!), the action-packed Fireheart, and the Netflix original series Robozuna.
In 2022, Benoit played a key role in a landmark chapter for the studio: its acquisition by Cinesite. Following the acquisition, he has led the integration of L’Atelier into the Cinesite group, working to expand the studio’s Montreal footprint and leverage international synergies. Under his leadership, the studio continues to flourish, contributing to major upcoming features like 10 Lives and Night of the Zoopocalypse.
