Aurélie Badin is Head of Assets for Cinesite’s Feature Animation division, overseeing the creation of all assets for both the Montreal and Vancouver studios. With extensive expertise in modeling, texturing, lookdev, grooming, set dressing, and scattering, she ensures that every character, prop, and environment meets the highest standards of quality and style.

Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 3D animation and special effects from Montpellier, France, Aurélie began her career as a texturing and surfacing artist on feature animation projects. Over the years, she has expanded her skills through roles as a lead artist, groom artist, Character Lookdev Lead, and Assets Supervisor. This diverse background across animation, VFX, and series productions gives her a unique understanding of the technical and artistic demands of different projects and budgets, enabling her to continually improve asset workflows and pipelines.

Among Aurélie’s proudest moments is seeing her name on the big screen after each project she has contributed to — a powerful reminder of the teamwork behind every completed film. She thrives on tackling complex creative and technical challenges, always striving to enhance the visual impact of every asset she oversees. Outside of work, Aurélie enjoys playing video games, painting, sewing clothes, and the simple pleasure of sleeping in.
