Antony Hunt has a wealth of expertise in visual effects and management. Having contributed to more than 160 feature films over 40 years, he is a highly respected member of the international visual effects community who has forged close relationships with major film studios, producers, directors and visual effects supervisors.
Antony joined Cinesite as Managing Director in 2003, becoming Group CEO in January 2016. Under his guidance, the company has grown into one of the world’s most widely respected visual effects houses, earning BAFTA, Emmy and Oscar credits. In 2014, Cinesite expanded its London-based operation into Montréal, substantially increasing the company’s capacity with new 80,000 sq ft premises. In January 2014 the company launched its feature animation division, expanding the company’s global position in the media and entertainment industry.
Before joining Cinesite in 2003, Antony was CEO of Mill Film from 1998 – 2002. Prior to that, he spent nine years as the CEO and co-owner of Magic Camera Company following a management buy-out in 1989 from the Panavision Group. Under his management, Magic Camera Company expanded into digital visual effects, motion control, model construction and photography, before selling the Company to The Mill in 1998. He joined the Magic Camera Company in 1985 as a senior optical cameraman and supervisor, working on numerous high profile feature films.
From 1978 – 1985 Antony trained and held freelance positions working on high end TV and feature films.
