Originally hailing from the USSR, Alexey’s diverse international background and formal education as a Director of Photography at the University of Tel Aviv’s Faculty of Arts underpin his finely-tuned skillset, with a strong emphasis on lighting. This unique perspective has allowed him to build a robust reputation in both on-set and off-set compositing.
With more than 45 cinematic credits to his name, Alexey’s extensive work with TRIXTER spans over a decade. His commitment to innovation is evident in his most recent role as Head of Compositing for The Family Plan (2023), where he spearheaded a cutting-edge R&D task force within TRIXTER to develop pioneering machine-learning face replacement technology for a crying baby.
Cinesite’s TechX unit is exploring the Gen AI landscape to identify, develop, test, and validate creative solutions in collaboration with studios, filmmakers, and solution providers active in this space.
