Cinesite has transitioned to a flexible way of working, adapting to the new realities of workers around the world.
Going forward, we don’t see remote-working as something that needs to come to an end; we are embracing it. Our aim is simply to work with the best talent, making the best VFX & animation. In short, the hybrid model of at-home and studio work is here to stay!
This shift will provide most Cinesite London, Montreal & Vancouver employees the opportunity to choose how they wish to work moving forwards, with these options:
- HOME-BASED: to work remotely
- OFFICE-BASED: work in-person in the Cinesite studios when possible while adhering to all local health guidelines
- HYBRID: adopt a hybrid way of working from either home and local studio when possible
Irrespective of their choice, Cinesite employees will be able to connect with their team in all-team meetings to provide transparency and motivation as well as through seasonal events and activities to socialise with colleagues and friends. We will retain our physical offices for employees in London, Montreal and Vancouver for in-person collaboration and special projects.
“After everyone settled into their new work-from-home environment, we quickly realised we could be even more creative and effective in delivering high-quality series and feature film work, when adopting a flexible way of working,” notes Cinesite’s Chief HR Officer, Sashka Jankovska. “Our staff are at the core of Cinesite’s success, everyone is different and we celebrate that. By allowing individuals to work according to their own working styles, we’ll get the best out of everyone, rather than forcing them to conform to another person’s style, at their detriment.”
Cinesite will continue to listen to and support the needs of our staff and, with some forward planning, we are in the very best position to keep offering fantastic opportunities to talented individuals located near and far and that’s really exciting.
Ultimately, it means things will never be the same again for our teams, with opportunities opening far outside of the current studio bases in London, Montreal & Vancouver. We think this will benefit staff wellbeing, geographically inclusive recruitment, and reduce our environmental impact.
