Cinesite expanded its XR capabilities with Adipat Virdi as executive director
We announced our new visualisation division, expanding our previs, virtual production, techvis and postvis services, and aligning with our concept and pipeline departments.
We’re so proud to have supported director Steve McQueen in his vision for Blitz, by contributing invisible visual effects that help tell the human stories that are so often lost in war.
ANIMATION
Cinesite’s animation divison had a busy year!
Our historic collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios for Iwájù, marked us as the first studio to work on a Disney (animation) project outside of the studio.
HITPIG! released in theatres across North America, we delivered Animal Farm for Andy Serkis and production continues on Smurfs for our friends at Paramount and Nickelodeon.

AWARDS
2024 was a trophy year for Cinesite!
In February we won a Visual Effects Society award for Rembrandt’s masterpiece reimagined as an immersive artwork, before announcing that we had won our second BAFTA for The Witcher’s third season in April. In June we won a platinum LIT Entertainment award for immersive short film Forsaken. Finally, in November we won gold at the BIMA awards, again for the Rembrandt immersive.
Behind every award is a talented team. Huge thanks to our incredible artists and technicians for their hard work and dedication.
Cinesite Montreal proudly marked its 10th anniversary by releasing this retrospective showreel. These
projects, brought to life by our talented supervisors, artists, technicians, and R&D teams, have earned Cinesite Montreal numerous awards and recognition over the last decade.
It was great to see Cinesite included in the first edition of Europe’s Long-Term Growth Champions 2025 by Financial Times and Statista. Maintaining strong, consistent and sustainable organic growth against a backdrop of the last 10 years is an achievement that should not be understated.
