Chris oversees IT at Cinesite’s European operations, which include Cinesite in London and Trixter, Berlin and Munich. His critical role lies in ensuring that the studios’ constantly evolving infrastructures provide the technical backbone required for world-class visual effects facilities. His teams plan, install and implement all manner of technology, in addition to providing broad technical support.

With over 25 years’ experience in IT, all in post-production, Chris’ input was instrumental to the initial set up of Cinesite’s Montreal studio, the successful implementation of major modifications and improvements to the systems in London and integrating Trixter into the group in 2018.

It takes a certain kind of person to manage expansion on this scale, as well as the day to day running of a pressured department. “Patience, calmness and creative problem solving are key in this role,” asserts Chris, “but it’s also very important to understand the pressures and demands faced by the production team, so we can support them in the best way possible.”

Family is key to Chris, and he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and his dogs outside of work. “Technology is amazing and continues to provide us with wonderful new opportunities, but turning off and going for long walks away from it all is just as important.”
