CINESITE
Ben White
VFX Supervisor

Ben is an award-winning visual effects supervisor who has been a creative force at Cinesite since 2019. With a deep passion for visual effects, particularly creatures and complex effects, he has brought life to numerous projects in his 30 years of experience.

At Cinesite, from Marvel’s Black Widow to the emotionally impactful Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ben has proven his skill in handling both intricate and large-scale visual effects. His contributions to the latter film were particularly noteworthy, from digidoubles to CG creatures and environments, and the stunning slow motion Hydrobomb detonations; the visual effects for this Marvel Studios’ production were both complex and wide-ranging. Ben’s touch can also be seen in Loki, where he oversaw Cinesite group studio TRIXTER’s work on two pivotal episodes in the first season of the Marvel series, VFX which included the otherworldly Citadel environment and the epic opening one shot, where we travel through space and time to the Sacred Timeline.

Graduating from Camberwell College of Art, Ben’s journey began at the dawn of the internet age. His self-taught CG expertise led him to work with Softimage Inc., before transitioning into commercials at The Mill and then onto the newly formed Millfilm to work on Academy award-winning Gladiator. During industry stints at Framestore and MPC he lent his talents to iconic movies such as Guardians of The Galaxy, Avatar, Man of Steel, The Dark Knight and several Harry Potter films. A two-time Visual Effects Society Award winner and a B.I.F.A. recipient, Ben’s dedication and versatility continue to be indispensable.

Outside of work Ben is a keen cook , maintains a spreadsheet of his favourite London restaurants and writes electronic music under the name Spinger.
