Cinesite’s Immersive team successfully partnered with Printworks Manchester to launch their spectacular Christmas Light Switch-On event, transforming Europe’s largest digital ceiling (1000m²) into a magical festive canvas.
The immersive visuals were the star of the show, filling the digital sky above shoppers with a high-impact, continuous animation. The content featured a jovial, stop-motion style Santa Claus character racing through the space in his sleigh, leaving magical flurries of snow and offering the crowd a glimpse into his festive grotto. Subtle auditory cues ensured shoppers were prompted to look up and engage with the stunning 3D perspective created across the screens.
Timed perfectly for the highly-anticipated switch-on, our team leveraged a strategic hybrid workflow of traditional VFX and Generative AI. This innovative approach allowed us to deliver premium, custom-designed 3D content within an accelerated retail timeframe, ensuring maximum audience engagement and creating a truly memorable, fun experience to drive footfall during the festive season.
